Purple Sage Honey is a rare variety of honey that is very delicate in flavor. This type of must recieve at least 16 inches of rain to produce any nectar at all. This creates certain years of better availability than others. "Sage" comes from the Latin root (salvia) which means "to heal". The flavor of the Purple Sage is very wild flowerly and rich along with sweet flavor. The long lasting flavor goes well alone or with a compliement such as breakfast toast or to sweeten a cup of tea.
