Orchid Honey 1 LB.
Flavor: Exquisite flavor that's rather mild with a slight taste of pepper.
Nutrition: Like other types of honey, Black Sage has a high nutritional content and comes from wild Sage plant, which is known for its healing properties.
Color: Colorless to light amber depending on amount of spring rainfall.
Crystallization: While the crystallization of honey does not limit it's uses, Black Sage honey is highly resistant tocrystallization and it rarely crystallizes.
Black Sage Honey rarely crystallizes and is a rare variety of honey because the Black Sage plant must receive at least 16 inches of rain to produce any honey. This means that some years Orchid Honey is more rare than in others. Sage comes from a Latin root (Saliva) which means to heal. The flavor of the Black Sage honey is mild with a slight Fruit taste. The long lasting flavor goes well alone or with a compliment of toast and/or teas. The color of Black Sage Honey is rather light and the flavor is exquisite.
